Last CMC Winter Mosaics Class

We celebrated our last CMC Winter Mosaics Class last night.  Three more pieces were grouted and completed.  A few others will finish in the coming days, I will post their pieces as they are complete.  Next class is a workshop format, April 29-May 1.  A few spaces remain.  Additional classes have been added, May 16-20- Mosaics 102, and June 13-17- Mosaics 101.  Hope to see you there!

O-S-C-A-R-S!!!

I am so excited- it is Oscar night!  I watch the show with two different 'hat's.  I serve on the board of the Bermuda Internation Film Festival.  Films are truly my guilty pleasure.  If you can't find me in the middle of the day and my phone is turned off, I am likely to be in a dark theatre with a big bowl of popcorn- including extra shots of butter. 

The other hat I wear of as tile mosaic dress designer.  I drool at the fabulous dresses on the red carpet.  After the presentations, I then scoop up all the magazines that show the dresses in detail.  Demi Moore's dress from the 2010 Oscars still serves as inspiration.  It is truly beautiful, and a complete challenge for me!  The photos below show Demi's dress and how I borrowed the skirt for 'Lolita'.    Stay tuned for how this year's dresses spark ideas.
